The movie can be seen as either a thriller, suspense or downright and dirty horror. This Psycho however has a realism and point, that by today's standards is still the Best, & most believable also. A young woman steals $40,000 from her employer's client, and subse quent ly encounters a young motel proprietor too long under the domination of his mother. This is one of Hitchcock's last films and it almost didn't get made because it had such a small budget (for a Hitchcock film). It’s a good film and of course a classic of its time and still is for that matter, but basically I brought this to see without dozens of adverts cropping up every ten minutes or so to spoil the viewing unlike if I see it, if ever perhaps I should say as it no longer seems to be shown on terrestrial television these days plus the extras are worth a look and are quite interesting which of course you don't get with the telly at any time.

A Classic Movie & for good reason to.
As a film obsessive it was becoming frustrating that this is never shown on TV.
This Psycho however has a realism and point, that by today's standards is still the Best, & most believable also. With Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin.
There is a very good reason for this, as it is the First and Best of this style of Psycho Movie. You know something bad is going to happen... but not exactly when. I have waited for years for this to be on TV.

Most Psycho Movies are over the top and ridiculous at best, with to much Crazy Ass behavior from the Nut Job in the Movie.
Psycho (1960) is the blueprint for excellent in scaring audiences with a murderer for good reason.
